Clinician World Interview

By Interviewer at 03/05/08 20:49

Name of your website?

Clinician World

Your name?

Rasheda Adehsar

Your Location (city, etc)

Pembroke Pines

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Clinician World is the first and only healthcare networking web site for health professionals exclusively. Clinician World allows healthcare professionals the opportunity to create their profile with a picture(optional), search for employment and immediately begin networking with other health professionals world-wide. This website finally provides a forum for ALL levels of healthcare professionals to meet, collaborate and advertise themselves for FREE. Whether your a physician or a medical assistant Clinician World was developed and created to unite healthcare professionals world-wide.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Truthfully, my baby boomer parents were my inspiration. They are expected to live longer which is a very good thing! However, nothing would make life easier for children of baby boomers then to go to one on-line health professional database to find all levels of health professionals to care for their parents, if ever the need arose.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Clinician World is new, I launched it two months ago in January 2008, and it is my first website.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Clinician World:

The word Clinician is a general term that can be used to describe many types and levels of healthcare professionals. Since the concept of this website was to include all levels of healthcare professionals, I thought the term Clinician would be appropriate.

Adding the word world at the end, just made sense to me.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Clinician World's main mission is to "globally connect and unite all levels of healthcare professionals today, to create a better health care system tomorrow". My goal and vision for this website is that no longer will the consumer or a potential employer have to navigate through many, many different internet sites to find health professionals as they now are required to do. This website was developed to make all healthcare professionals accessible now and in the future. As we all know, people are living longer and the need for health professionals will only increase going forward.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My primary goal for Clinician World is for the site to be utilized world-wide by ALL healthcare professionals for FREE. It would also be exciting for the Clinician World Logo to be recognized globally as the place "where health professionals meet".

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It is really true what people say,"when you invest your time and money in something you are passionate about and believe in, it is worth every minute of every day". It is hard work, to say the least but it is also the best feeling in the world. I have no regrets.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

If I had an unlimited development budget I would constantly improve the site, so that my customers would be 100% satisfied at all times.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I would welcome the opportunity and the challenge for my site to grow quickly. My ultimate dream for Clinician World is for it to become a globally recognized and utilized site.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

I recently made some unexpected changes to the site at the request of my customers. They were positive changes but they were not cheap changes.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Like any first time small business owner, the marketing budget just is never enough. I always am trying to think of creative yet less expensive ways to try and reach my customers. This has been a true challenge, that quite honestly is still on-going. I welcome any suggestions from internet business owners that faced the same budgeting issues.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I have not found the most effective marketing and promotion method yet. I welcome any thoughts or ideas.

It has been two months since the site launched and I am still going through the process. I know that marketing and promotion goes hand in hand with any business and it is always an on-going process.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Luckily, I had no pre-concieved notions or expectations for Clinician World. Probably because this experience is a first, its new and it's fun. It truthfully, never ever feels like work.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Clinician World is two months old, I would love to see it become a success. I am in this for the long haul, whatever it takes I am willing to do.

Would you ever develop or create another website?

I would love to develop other websites in the future. The creative process is exciting, challenging and hardwork yet somehow it is always fun.

What is your website address?
