Doctors everywhere are recently put on the hot seat to disclose their financial relationships with medical companies. This is because of the possible conflicts of interest that may arise when the doctors start to prescribe medications to patients.
Now even medical schools are laden with controversy, like the medical school of the University of Minnesota. This happened after it was found out that Dr. Leo Furcht, co-chairman of the task force set to create new policies on financial relationships for the medical school, was found out to have financial relationships with some medical companies himself.
