Mandates of new mental health coverage are going to be in effect by the year twenty ten. These mandates will now be influencing corporations, as well as insurance companies, to adopt new protocols that could negatively affect psychiatrists.
Restriction by insurance companies of the ability of psychiatrists is the major concern of The American Psychiatric Association, or the APA.
The intensity of the new payment pressures is still being decided for the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act is still being completed.
