Lyme disease officially affects around 20,000 americans every year, but, due to the imperfect diagnostic methods in use, some believe that the actual number may be as much as 10 or 12 times higher. Lyme disease is a tick borne disease and its incidence is rising every year. Sen. Chris Dodd has presented legislation in Congress for the detection and treatment of Lyme disease. This legislation was supported by Time for Lyme, Inc. and Lyme Disease Association. Definitely, time for lyme!
